medical recruiting

In the business that we all are in, recruiting the best Medical and Healthcare Professionals, it is imperative to pre-close throughout the entire medical recruiting process. Pre-closing is most often associated with sales and marketing which is precisely what you are doing when you are selling your medical jobs to a Physician, Nurse, Executive, or Allied Health professionals.

Review the CV/Resume. Before interviewing, absorb and remember all of the most important information about his or her history, background, experience, and more. Additionally, it would be of benefit if you can remember your previous conversations (if applicable) and incorporate this into your research. By consolidating all of this information, you can estimate what is most important to the candidate and make a plan on how to close the deal.

Positive Points. You should be able to come up with at least 3 factors that will  benefit the candidate by joining your company. By focusing on these key points, you are making the opportunity more attractive to the candidate and improving your medical recruiting success. You must continually remember the positives (the more the better) and accentuate them throughout your communication with the candidate.

Negative Points. You must anticipate all of negative viewpoints about your opportunity and create objections to those. This means that if you know that a negative point is going to be the salary, you may have an objection to that argument by saying that the cost of living is significantly lower. By preparing in advance, you are eliminating your weaknesses and promoting your strengths.

Be Professional. Medical recruiting, just like selling, is an art form and one that cannot be learned easily. You do not want to be "pushy" and you must know when the time is right to promote your company.
